Rose Bay Secondary College has a very strong film-making culture, which culminates every year, at the end of Term 3, with V-Fest (our student Video Competition screens at the Chauvel Cinema).
Every year the new Year 7’s are invited to join the Year 7 Film Club. This is an extra-curricular activity, usually held after school one day a week in the film studio. This is an opportunity to learn about script-writing, camera-handling and editing. We are very lucky to have excellent equipment, mainly Sony cameras and Apple Computers for the editing. Students are introduced to Stop-Frame Animation, working specifically with Plasticine. Think Wallace and Grommitt!!
