Assessment and Reports

Our teachers use a variety of strategies to assess student learning.

Teachers observe students' work in class and look closely at tasks throughout the year. They also formally assess a student's achievement based on the outcomes described in the syllabus of the key learning area.

We provide comprehensive guidelines and resources to support students in understanding assessment expectations and successfully managing their study commitments.

Assessment Schedules and Calendar

We provide specific assessment schedules for senior courses:

Illness/Misadventure

If any student is absent from a school-based assessment task, they need to complete an Illness/Misadventure application. Use the following links to complete your application

Reporting

As a parent or carer, you’ll receive a written report twice a year:

Your student's written academic report will give you a clear picture of your child’s learning strengths and strategies to improve. We use the  common grade scale  in reporting.

Student reports can be found on the Sentral Parent Portal.

In addition to written reports parents and carers are invited to speak with their student's teachers at the Parent/Teacher Conferences held throughout Term 1 to Term 3. These conferences are a valuable opportunity for parents to discuss student progress directly with each class teacher, hear any suggestions regarding areas of improvement, and ask any questions they have.

Parent/Teacher Conferences are booked through the Sentral Parent Portal. Parents are encouraged to set up access at the start of the year to secure preferred timeslots when bookings open.
