Year 7 Surf Life Saving week

In Term 4 every year Rose Bay Secondary College with the aid of North Bondi Surf Lifesaving Club run a compulsory five day Surf Awareness/Surf Lifesaving training course for Year 7. At the end of the week each student attains a Surf Survival Certificate. All students swimming abilities are catered for, from beginner to advance. Qualified instructors from North Bondi SLSC and teachers from RBSC who have their School Surfing Supervisor Award instruct the students through theory and practical sessions on surf awareness, first aid, and open water rescue. On the last day a Surf Carnival is run for all Year 7 students. Parents are invited to observe and join for a BBQ lunch on carnival day.

Participation is contingent upon students demonstrating responsible behavior throughout the year.  Students may be excluded at the discretion of the Deputy Principal and Principal.
