The Inclusive Education Faculty (IEF) comprises of three specialised classes: one Intellectual Moderate (IO) class and two Autism Support classes. These classes provide a supportive, inclusive environment tailored to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of students. Each student has an Individual Transition Plan (ITP) to guide their personalised learning journey, focusing on achieving specific goals and preparing for transitions within and beyond school.
Most IEF students follow Life Skills outcomes designed to suit their individual capabilities. However, a data-driven approach ensures flexibility, enabling some students to access mainstream classes for specific subjects or activities based on their strengths and readiness. This approach promotes inclusivity while fostering opportunities for broader learning and social interaction.
The IEF team consists of a Head Teacher, three class teachers, and a School Learning Support Officer (SLSO) per class, who work collaboratively to support students. This team, in partnership with families and specialists, provides an engaging, safe, and inclusive educational environment that empowers every student to reach their full potential.
