Music Ensembles Program (MEP)

RBSC has a strong music performance program that is open to all students from Years 7 to 12. The Music Ensemble Program (MEP) caters for students of all musical abilities and encourages children to learn music across a number of musical genres. Students learn and perform alongside their peers under the guidance of expert tutors.

The MEP is a great way to boost confidence, teaching students to love and appreciate music in a safe space with like-minded people.  Together they learn vital team skills that encourage traits such as dedication and discipline through participation in rehearsals and performances.  All vital skills that will help students grow in other areas of life and study.  The program consists of:

·         two concert bands

·         two stage bands,

·         percussion,

·         choir,

·         jazz,

·         string

·         vocal ensembles,

·         PLUS over twenty rock bands.

Our bands’ high standards have been acknowledged at the NSW Band Festival, the Sydney Eisteddfods and through excellent HSC Music results. Our MEP bands have been booked for youth and community performances including Festivilion, Bondi BLYMP, Carols by the Bay and the City to Surf Youth Stage, and have a number of performance opportunities during the year including school assemblies, Rose Bay Rocks, mid-year and end-of-year concerts, and soirees.

We are very lucky to have attracted some of the most talented musicians and teachers to our Music Ensemble Program, all of whom have the ability to help students reach their musical goals with their dedication, support, encouragement and innovation.

Head on over to the MEP website for more information on what the program provides, our current news blog with information on what's happening and when, and for details on how to get involved… www.rbscmep.com
