Congratulations to our Integrated Education Facility (IEF) who recently won 2 awards in the Waverley Garden Award. IEF & SRC representative Oliver accepted the awards with teachers Kathryn Dobb and Niki McDonald on behalf of IEF students at a ceremony held at Bronte House. The Waverley Garden Award has been running since 1886.
Our Hardy Street Harvest garden was awarded runner up in the Dirt Kids category against a strong field of well established school gardens. We accepted The Mayors Award for Caring Community in recognition of our community impact & caring and work with Timber Home and Hardware in Rose Bay.
We would like to thank Waverley Council for the opportunity to showcase our Hardy Street Harvest Project Based Learning initiative. Teacher Niki McDonald said "To be awarded with two meaningful awards inspires and encourages our students and reinforces the importance of this outdoor learning space". Well done to IEF students and staff.
