Year 7 geography

This semester, Year 7 Geography students completed a task that required them to assess the liveability of their suburb and propose a project to enhance social connectedness and wellbeing in their area.

Led by Josephine as MC, students were provided with the valuable opportunity to present their projects to the Mayor of Waverley, Paula Masselos, the Head of Sustainable Waverley, Sam McGuinness and Deputy Principal, Ms Cathy Archer. Kai proposed a Bondi Summer Sundays Festival whilst Emily and Tekiyah focused their liveability projects on Christison Park in Vaucluse, proposing an Open Air Cinema and Solar Spotlights respectively. Our guests provided authentic and detailed feedback to our students regarding their project ideas. Thank you to Claire Edwards for facilitating the second consecutive Council Liveability Presentations at Rose Bay.
