The Year 12 SRC students were outstanding with their organisation, enthusiasm and exemplary behaviour on the day. They serenaded students and staff, handed out roses and chocolates to students that were lucky enough to have a have special Valentine that had purchased these for them. Over $1,400 was raised on the day and this money will be used by the Year 12 SRC to fund the normal Year 12 annual obligations such as the purchase of a departing gift for the school. A very big thank you also to Ms Moon, Mr Papadakis, Mr Wright and Mr Regina for their work in making the day so memorable and enjoyable. A huge thank you to the GAT Band for their stellar performance at lunch time in the plaza. The day was a wonderful event for students and staff and we would like to thank everyone involved for making the day so special.

The library caught the love bug on Valentines Day and offered students a Blind Date with a Book! Students could borrow a book wrapped in brown paper and carrying clues to love, as one might have upon a first date. And it wasn't until the unwrapping and the reading before our borrower could know if it was indeed, true love. We wish them all luck and it is with some comfort that we can say our books will never dump their readers, though tears may be shared.
