This week the female school captains and a group of singers from RBSC attended the Waverly Seniors International Women's Day high tea.
They were joined by a number of local community members and Dr Kerryn Phelps AM MP. Jessica, from the student leaders, delivered a moving speech about her achievements and dreams and how our school is helping her achieve those dreams. She received a roaring round of applause with many of the members of Waverly Seniors commenting on how she is an inspiration to them.
Following this three students from our GAT band; Beth, Sian and Sophia performed Imagine for the group; they sung beautifully and it was a fitting end to the formalities of the day. The girls then mingled with the ladies from Waverly Seniors and spoke with Dr Phelps, inviting her to the school for a Q and A about women in politics. The girls should be commended on the way they represented the school.
