After the loss of one of our best players through injury, we struggled in the first quarter and were trailing going into the first break. It was tough to close the gap against the much larger side but the boys improved each quarter. Henry managed to slot one from far out in the third quarter to make Kingsgrove nervous but unfortunately, it was not enough.
Regardless of the result, all players walked off the field at the end of the game with a smile on their face.
There were many standout performances on the day, though a special mention needs to be given to our captain Joel who was dominant across the field and to our debutant George who was inspirational in defence.
It could not have been possible without the help of our Assistant Coach Nicola Steele and our two goal umpires.
