Our supportive RBSC community came together on a wintery Wednesday night in the school hall to be enthralled by a whimsical performance of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass.
The amazingly gifted cast comprising students from Years 7-11 put on a stellar performance under the expert direction of Ms Vine, our multi-talented head of CAPA and Ms Camilleri, supported by the College Art teachers. The adoring audience was captivated by the prose, poise and confidence of the cast. The crew worked tirelessly to make scene changes seamless and the sound and stage lighting were executed with precision, effectively transitioning between scenes and cues. It was so gratifying witnessing the students’ artistic convictions at front and back stage.
The dramatic creativity even extended to the unique casting of the lead role of Alice, which was shared by four students, one of whom is a male! As Ms Vine said at the opening of the show, “This play proves that we support diversity”. What a befitting event to put our school values of Opportunity, Achievement and Community into practice! This is what makes us proud to be part of the RBSC community and what makes me especially thrilled to be a member of the CAPA faculty!
