Year 10 geography discuss zero-waste living

Zero-waste living

During Week 6, 10Y Geography finished discussions on what it means to live a zero-waste lifestyle.

For every student who expressed a desire to reduce the amount of plastic waste they produce, there was a student who felt like it was too big a challenge or that they didn't have support from their family. For the next few weeks, 10Y will embark on a series of DIY sustainability projects so that they can support one another in becoming more aware of the small changes they can make to reduce their plastic waste. Their first project was to bring in recycled jars and make their own aloe vera gel!

Thank you to Annette and Alexia for harvesting the aloe vera! Our next project will be beeswax wraps with the help of the IEF!
